I second Ann Arbor, and I’d also add Troy or Clawson to that list – I live in Clawson now and it’s a pretty nice, small town.
I’d love to live in Ann Arbor but it would be an hour plus commute each way for my wife to go to work so that isn’t going to happen. The Grand Rapids area is great too but on the other side of the state for us. Can’t complain though as we live in a nice Metro Detroit community only a few minutes away from Birmingham’s downtown which is also highlighted on your list.
Definitely some nice cities, but there are quite a few others I’d recommend as well 🙂 I’ve loved living in Michigan my whole life!
Ann Arbor I have heard off many times through colleagues in undergrad. I have been told the area is low in crime and great educationally.
I’ve never been to Michigan. Sounds like a great place to live. I might be able to influence my daughter to study at University of Michigan!
